Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 are completely unsupported. The application will not start on them, and no workaround exists.

Before you install

Three things that prevent most install problems

Install WebView2 first

Most "app opens then closes" reports are a missing or outdated Edge WebView2 Runtime. The official Borneo Runtime Installer bundles it along with .NET Framework 4.8 and VC++ redistributables.

Whitelist the folder in your antivirus

Repair tools routinely trip heuristic scanners. Add the install directory to your exclusion list before extracting, or the setup may be silently quarantined mid-install.

Sign in with the activated account

The licence is bound to the username supplied at checkout. Signing in with a different account will show an unlicensed session even though payment went through.

Common questions

Is this the official Borneo Schematics installer?

Yes. Every link above points at Borneo's own mirrors on updateborneo.com. We never re-host, repack or modify the setup file.

Do I need a licence before downloading?

You can download and install without one, but the application needs an activated account to open schematics. Licences start at $14.5 on the pricing page.

The app installs but closes immediately. What now?

Almost always a WebView2 problem. Install the official Borneo Runtime Installer, reboot, and try again. If it persists, check that your antivirus has not quarantined part of the install folder.

Can I run it on Windows 7?

No. Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 are unsupported and the application will not run on them. Windows 10 build 19045 is the minimum.

Can I install on more than one PC?

You can install the software anywhere. What is limited is simultaneous sign-ins: a 1 User licence allows one at a time, a 2 Users licence allows two.

How often is a new version released?

There is no fixed schedule. We check the official page automatically and publish each new build here — subscribe to the RSS feed to be notified.
